July Adventures (2023)

Hello there! It’s crazy how it’s already August!

If you tuned in for last month’s adventures, you know it was quite the packed one! Well, this one contrasts, as it wad not full of many creative adventures. But this month was a busy one for me when it comes to life adventures!

I went full time with my business this past month! I am very proud of that accomplishment and though I am still at the beginning of my full time small business journey, I am very happy for what my future holds for both myself and my creative business! With being able to focus full time on my shop, I have been focused on adding new products to my shop! Currently I have greeting cards in the work, and the end of July has been all about them! I have spent the last couple weeks working on the ideas and concept art of those ideas for those cards! And you can now finally buy the first few in my shop!

I am starting with a couple of soldier congrats card designs! My best seller, The Forge Lantern, is the inspiration for these designs, along with the soldiers I make these lanterns for. I am very proud that I have been able to make over 100 lanterns to help celebrate soldiers completing their basic training! Basic training is only the beginning for these soldiers, and there will be many milestones, they will celebrate and I want to help their families celebrate those as well! So these cards will be the beginning of the soldier greeting card products I will sell. I also plan to make more general greeting cards for things like birthdays, holidays, etc., but I felt it was important to start here! You can now purchase the three designs currently in my shop!

This past month I have also still been crocheting coasters! I have a market coming up here in August, and to prepare I started working on inventory this last month to prepare! But I also love crocheting coasters so I have also been finding so much joy and relaxation in crocheting the coasters!

Another big life event for me this past month, was I got to go see Taylor Swift at her Era’s tour! I absolutely love Taylor Swift and her music, so I am so happy I got to see her preform! To prepare for the concert, I made some friendship bracelets, since many people attending have been trading and giving bracelets out! Most are made with beads and usually have song titles or quotes on the bracelet. Mine, however, were knotted bracelets that just have cute patterns. But I got them traded and I in return got many bracelets at the concert! I unfortunately don’t have any pictures of my bracelets before sending them off, but I have a picture of the ones I got, and they are definitely beautifully made by the many different crafters who gave them to me!

During this past month, I also continued painting birdhouse! Though one of them is more of a bee house than a bird house! I really love how this cutie turned out, with all its cute dots and the gold details!

Along with my cute bee house, I painted this cute sewing themed house! I started with a neutral, dark base and added fun colorful sewing elements! I really love the contrast, and I think captures creativity, specifically sewing. For me turning something maybe simple or plan, like this birdhouse, from that plain base, adding fun creative touches can create something beautiful, and can make me so happy watching that transformation! I am only a beginner seamstress, but I am amazed at the many things one can create while sewing. You can get either of these cute birdhouses for your own decor by buying them from my shop! You can shop here, by going to the shop tab at the top of the page on the home page or by going to my Etsy shop by clicking on the button below! Please note that these are only meant to be decor. the holes on these houses are too small for actual bird feeding for our cute little friends!

Thank you for catching up with me! I hope you enjoyed my July adventures, and had many of your own! I’ll see you next month!
